HARMONY LARSON
City Council, Ward 7 Candidate
ABOUT HARMONY
My family has called Marlborough our home since 2009. My three boys attended Marlborough Public Schools, and now AMSA and Assabet. I'm also a proud dog mom to two pups who cannot wait for the new dog park to open!
I serve as the Chair of the Marlborough Cultural Council and I will continue to support arts and culture as a City Councilor. I am a Board member for Marlboro Youth Soccer and a member of the Marlborough Junior Woman's Club. My professional experience spans marketing, communication and HR roles primarily in the architecture and development industry. Currently, I am in the process of starting a small business, which will open on Main Street in 2025.
I'm seeking a seat on the City Council to be the change I want to see in politics and to set an example for my kids. I hope to inspire other women (and folks from other underrepresented groups) to get involved as well. If elected, I will bring new energy, a new perspective and new ideas to this role.
I'd be honored to serve as the next Ward 7 City Councilor!

IDEAS
Our schools, roads and core City services need ongoing investment. I will support infrastructure improvements and plans to add key expertise to help Marlborough evolve in a smart, thoughtful way. In addition to doing the fundamentals well, I believe Marlborough needs to try some new things, to be bold and courageous in addressing today's challenges and opportunities. I will bring an open mind and plenty of creativity to this role.

-
Professionalize resident communication. Building upon the success of the Mayor's Newsletter, let's continue to raise the bar when it comes to transparency and better access to information.
-
Invest in planning expertise. Marlborough is growing quickly and DIY, patchwork planning just doesn't fit anymore. Let's take a more proactive approach to planning for future growth.
-
Support our creative economy. Investment in arts and culture projects and infrastructure will attract more businesses and visitors and boost the local economy as a whole.
-
Encourage future leaders. Let's help our young residents develop work skills and build stronger connections to their community through youth volunteer programs, mentorship and enhanced funding for our Rec department.
